Lydia and Evelyn: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Lydia and Evelyn have been very busy girls the last few weeks. Lydia got her first real haircut, and Evelyn has begun eating solid foods! They've also been busy visiting with cousins and just having fun. Here are some pics of their recent adventures...

They grow up fast...

This has been such a hectic, topsy-turvy summer for us. As you may know, Lydia and Evelyn's "Gra-Gra" died a few weeks ago. Somehow during this period, my little Lydia has been changing from baby into little girl, and my baby Evelyn is beginning to hit all of her major milestones (rolling over, sitting up, laughing, etc.) and is leaving newbornhood. She's not so helpless anymore--which is a good thing. Lydia constantly reminds me of her Gra-Gra...I miss him very much, but I have a feeling, if he's watching, he's getting a good chuckle out of Lydia and Evelyn both giving me a "run for my money." Lydia is finally starting to take notice of Evelyn--she hugs her and tries to play with her more regularly now. Evelyn quite enjoys this and squeals with delight whenever Lydia deigns to play with her. Before I know it, they'll be giggling, telling each other secrets, and having a grand old time. I look forward to it.

I don't have many pictures this time...I hadn't been in the mood for it, but I did get a few cute pictures of Lydia "surfing the internet" with her Daddy. Notice how she's got her clicking finger all figured out. PBSkids.org is an awesome site!

The Birthday Girl and The Smiler

Lydia Discovers Evelyn!

After nine long months, Lydia has discovered sisterhood. While being a big sister isn't always easy, it has been rewarding (she's gotten more loot than her baby sister!!) Here are a few pictures of both girls over the last few weeks.

Lydia Discovers Coloring!

Lydia got her first set of jumbo crayons this week. She has had a blast discovering the fun of coloring pictures--she even calls it art--although she pronounces it "ahhht." Here are a few original Lydia masterpieces. The third picture she drew with her Daddy--he needs some coloring practice, too!
