The Most Tolerant Cat in the WORLD!!!

Our cat, Bob, is amazing--below he has allowed Lydia to cover him in stickers--like I said above, he is the most tolerant cat in the world!

Happy 6th Months, Evelyn!!!

Evelyn had finally made it to six-months-old!!! To celebrate, she got a high chair all her own!

Lydia's First Day of School!

Lydia had her first day of school last week! Unfortunately, I do not have many pictures to share, but let me illustrate with words... We arrived at Lydia's school and waited in the hall for the headmistress to open the doors leading to the classrooms. While most of the other children were anxiously clutching their parent's legs, Lydia found that the wheelchair ramp made a delightful echo sound when she ran up and down it. So she did...over and over with squeals of delight.

The headmistress finally opened the school doors and stood by the door--I'm sure to meet and greet each child--and Lydia took off like a shot down the hallway. She ran into every room, checking each room out. I'm running doggedly behind her--carrying baby sister Evelyn--trying to steer her to her classroom. Finally, we reached our destination: the two-year-olds classroom!!

By this time, many of the other children and parents were trying to say their goodbyes. Many of the children were crying, desparately clutching at their mothers. But not our Lydia, like a quarterback running for a touchdown, she ran and darted around these obstacles to the endzone of the room--the toys! Her teacher, looking surprised, said this looked like a good start, so we left and Lydia had a great first day of school. The second day of school was much the same...I think she likes it!!

Sisterly Love

These pics are a little blurry (they move so fast!!!) but they are showing Lydia and Evelyn's latest "thing" they do: Lydia leans over to hug/kiss Evelyn, Evelyn grabs Lydia's hair, then Lydia tries to escape...and repeat with lots of squeals and laughter.
