It's snowing again!! Despite our amazingly mild winter (it was 70 degrees several days this week!) we actually have had a few brief cold spells and a little bit of snow! Lydia has discovered that she enjoys the snow much better now that she's a little older. Perhaps it's because Mama and Daddy take her on snow day adventures...
After breakfast, we bundled up to see the snow in our front yard...

The snow stopped and the clouds drifted off, so then we went to the river at the park near our house.

We were all cold after all that trekking about, and only one course of action seemed best: Granny and Gra-Gra's!!! Yes, at a surprisingly early age, Lydia has discovered where to go to warm up and get treats. True to "Granny" form, Granny had baked a lemon-blueberry poundcake that morning and had a healthy supply of hot chocolate. Gra-gra was on hand to sing Lydia's favorite Gra-Gra song, "Abba-Dabba Honeymoon," much to everyone's delight.
After warming up, Granny, Lydia, and Mama decided to walk over to Uncle Will's house a few blocks away. From Will's house we hiked to the "Creek" where Mama and Uncle Will and Uncle Sam all played as kids. Cousins Liam and Lila went with us.

Finally, after a nice, hot lunch at Granny's, it was time to head home and nap! Snow Days are great!
