We've been house hunting (while not sick) these last few weeks. We have this huge list of what we want in our next house--plus we need to sell our house--so this might take a while.
The girls have totally loved the adventure of house hunting though. They think it is so much fun to go to these houses and check them out. Their favorites are the houses that are vacant and empty. Then they get to run and shout like mad from room to room. They especially have enjoyed one house that Jeremy and I are very fond of, which we call the "goldfish house." You can probably imagine why we call it the "goldfish house." There is a giant, 5000 (yes, five thousand) gallon koi pond in the back yard. Which is the only thing about this house we both love and hate.
The pond is gorgeous with this awesome waterfall. The fish are beautiful. The house is beautiful and amazing. BUT picture toddlers and this pond. There's the hate part. We'd buy the house tomorrow (well, if we could) but we don't know what to do with the pond. Do we fill it in (which would be a crying shame)??? Do we gate or fence it off? Who knows...
We are so blessed to have these seemingly trivial concerns as our main concerns in our lives right now (well, there are a few others.) I'm just so happy that things have (sort of) settled down for us. I'll keep you posted on the house hunting!
